Okay…so has anyone ever met a bitch named Patricia?? Like I’m so for real I’ve never met one before. The 2 that I know of are Patrick Star’s sister and that vine video with the high school girl…you know…“PATRICIA, get it together sweetie”. Anyway, I digress.
A saying or I guess idea that I’ve heard all my life is: “You won’t mishandle the things you prayed for because God wouldn’t have given it to you if you weren’t strong enough or weren’t ready.” But I call bullshit. I mean think about it, if that were true, then Adam and Eve wouldn’t have ate the apple from the tree, right? They had everything, but greed got the better of them. Was it pure greed? I wish I knew what was going through their minds. We’re flawed, not always because we choose bad intentionally, but maybe because there’s a desire to fill a need and that apple looks like the answer. Every need is different but all branched to the same tree. The tree: the tree is to be whole. To have this feeling of peace and joy. I can’t tell if I’m cooking or if my oven exploded, but let me continue. Speaking from personal experience, I can definitely say I’ve fucked up some of the things I prayed for. Ironic huh? From what I’ve come to understand, sometimes you just have to accept the L, be grateful for experience and learn from your shortcomings in hopes that you won’t make the same mistake again. Sometimes the things you think will lead you to peace and joy are actually a distraction or just weren’t meant for you. Sometimes things aren’t always crystal clear. Hmm, so if the tree bears fruits, and the fruits represent temptation..does that mean the distractions of life are the fruits? The apple was never the answer, but what is?
School hasn’t been all too bad. I had this wack ass teacher at one point, but finally I was able to move up and out of that bitch’s class. Besides her, I’ve met a lot of amazing people. There’s a particular set of people I’m thinking of. There’s something unique and exceptional about each one of them, and I’m so grateful to have known their spirits and to have learned something from them. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted girl friends (like some solid ass, bad bitches), and suddenly, my prayers were answered. Unfortunately due to being full time, I’ll be leaving them sooner than I’d like and be pushed back into the world. It’ll be a bittersweet feeling. Knowing I may not be as close to some or all of them anymore but knowing they’ll always be a phone call and/or hang out away. Man how I’ll miss them. It’s okay though, they have to stick around. Yup, yup no other choice :)
Speaking of being pushed back into the world. I think I miss bartending. But also, do I miss bartending or the money? Mmmm…both. Think I’m going to get back into it. Not full time like I used to, but maybe 2-3 days a week. I like how everyday is different and I just like the act of doing it (lol that’s what she said). Feels like that one pizza game growing up. What’s it called? Oh oh Papa’s Pizzeria. Plus the money was almost always good to decent, and fast. I'll do both, maybe.
Anyway, as I’m sure you all know, the World Cup is going on. The team I was rooting for got eliminated during knockout rounds. That shit was brutal, and I don’t use that word lightly. I knew we wouldn’t make it far but our last match was an absolute JOKE. I wanted to slap each and every fucking player and be like “do you want to go home? Cause you’re playing like it, calm your mind and lock in twin!” They were all over the place. This World Cup made me realize I like soccer more than I thought I did. Plus, watching your country play is surreal. It was nice to get some representation and to have another reason to be proud of your country. We don’t get much recognition. Most aren’t even familiar with the country. Welllllp, go USA lol.
p.s, I've been watching more movies. The last movie I told y'all about was Wolf on Wall Street. Since then, I've seen The MJ movie, Snowfall (tv show), Zombieland, 21 Jump Street, Obsession, Coyote Ugly, Madea's Destination Wedding, and Pretty Woman.
