Here's what you missed from The Thoughts of a Girl author...
So my cousin and I went to a Mexican OT/ Braxton Keith concert back in February. (10/10, would do again) Before the concert started, Mexican OT had an event where he fought a bull. Well, more so dodging the bull but y’all get the point. When I tell y’all this man FLEW. His whole body left the ground, and OT is not a little man. He a big boy for real LOL. It was crazy to see in person. After that part of the event ended, we made our way to where the concert was being held. Performers like Paul Wall and RNB.FOEMOB opened. At one point they even played some fire classics like La Chona, Cumbia De La Cobra, El Sonidito, y Inténtalo. OT came out and was talking to the crowd, thought he was a funny motherfucker. Anyway, as the night went on my cousin got thirsty. We were right next to the VIP section and saw they were giving out waters and beers to the VIPs. We got the attention of someone on that side and asked if he could slide us a water. When he came back, we thanked him and started chatting with him a bit. I guess he thought we were cool so he invited us into the VIP section. Like we’re going to say no to that??? We watched Braxton do his set and danced. Once everything was said and done we started walking back to the car when we saw homeboy again. He was like come on let’s go backstage. Turns out he’s a rapper and close friends with Mexican OT. We make it backstage and we get invited to go party with them but that’s a big yaaaa no. My cousin had to get back home and the fuck do I look like going to party with a whole bunch of people I don’t know BY MYSELF. Whatttt.?.? Anyway we ended the night with that. Good vibes overall.

I’ve learned I love to listen to the world. I love to hear the wind blow through the trees and the different voices communicating in a cafe. I love to understand the why’s of life and the emotions one feels. I love to hear people’s thoughts and stories because it may give me a different perspective.
I’m in a new chapter of my life. I’m not where or who I want to be yet, but I’m on the journey there. Sometimes I look in the mirror and don’t know who I see. All the people I’ve been are gone. The lessons still linger but those people as a whole have vanished. I don’t mean that in a lost or depressing manner. I see opportunity. Free will is a hell of a thing, and this world is only getting bigger. Days like these, I feel like I want to do more, understand more, and be more. It’s not an overnight process and I can’t say I’m mad at that. I want to learn the art of discipline and consistency. I want to be challenged and not complain, but look up and thank God for giving me the tools to be transformed. Just as moving forward is important, so is knowing when to stop and look. It’s about the balance.
I see so many people living on autopilot. Living life fast instead of intentionally. A goal of mine is to break that habit.

I know it’s been a minute since I’ve posted (not that anyone is really reading). That’s my bad. I partially feel like I have nothing interesting to write about. What could I possibly say? I go out with my friends, still go on drives with my cousin. I do have one big update though. I’m excited to say I’m going to be joining an esthetics program! I’ve enjoyed skincare for many years now and I figured why not take my hobby/interest to a professional scale. It’s not that long of a program and the industry is growing, so I feel pretty confident about it (so far). So catch ya girl doing some facials, waxing, or lashes lol. Recently went fishing with my uncle and cousin. We caught all of 1 fish so that was fantastic LOL. Was worth it though because we ate some bomb sushi and enjoyed each other's company. Mmmmm what else? Oh went on a trip to San Antonio with my fam. I brought back a cool custom piece of art work and a cowboy hat with my name branded on it (finally, another cowboy hat). We got our sun time when we went out to the market (did some shopping, snacking, dancing, and walking), went to the pool, and visited the Japanese Tea Garden. Ate some good food throughout the trip like crawfish, crab cakes, Mexican, pastries etc (the shrimp & grits were bomb.com, def my fav). I got to see a candlelight concert, which was so so pretty and immersive. Happy I can finally check that off my bucket list. The set was a tribute to Adele, so they had some bangers in there.
Recently my cousin said my side quests have gotten more and more random. She's not wrong though. I find myself doing more "out of the blue" and "you're doing what" activities. They're not bad or anything, just odd? Mmmm, odd isn't the word. Y'all get the point. Anyway, not much else to say. I do have oneeeeeee more thing but let's keep that under the wraps for now, yeah?
Oh oh oh, I finally watched The Wolf of Wall Street. Wtf was that? Why do 98% of the women gotta be naked? Not only that, they had a great story to work with but it fell kind of flat in my opinion. Eh.
